In an unprecedented development today, Jio has withdrawn its summer surprise offer in response to TRAI's (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) request.

What it means for Users?

1. If you have already (on or before 06/04/2017) registered for summer surprise offer, you are safe. Jio has clearly mentioned in its statement that all registered users prior to discontinuation of the offer will still enjoy the 3 months free benefits.
2. Only thing affected from this move is the "Sweet extra 3 months free data", so you can still register for Jio Prime until 15/04/2017 to enjoy 28 GB data with free call and message services.

What it means for Jio?

Well, as we see, Jio has not much to lose by this unprecedented decision. Because, only 9 days were pending till the deadline and we are sure, Jio has acquired a lot of potential customers already. Also, this offer was just a beginning and lot more offers are in the Jio's basket as earlier confirmed by Mukesh Ambani.
