The timing of Jiophone launch could not have been better for India, especially in view of ongoing border tussles with China.
We all know and acknowledge that China is undoubtedly a market leader especially in case of cheaper smartphones with various salient features. The people from lower and lower middle class are attracted to smartphones which are available in the range of 2000 to 4000 Rs. Until 21st July 2017, India did not have a fitting option to counter the influence of Chinese smartphones. But thanks to Reliance Jio, now our citizens can opt for a much cheaper smartphone with much superior features. Best thing about this is, the JioPhone is completely made by, in and for India as emphasised by Mukesh Ambani during the launching ceremony.
So, It wouldn't be a surprise if JioPhone is marketed as India's fitting reply in coming days to avoid buying china made phones.
