Reliance Jio has
drastically increased the Internet speed across India by offering 4G Internet
data at affordable costs. This has changed the way in which Indians used to
utilise the data. With cheaper and affordable data, often the Jio users get
deeply involved in downloading content or watching videos. In this way, they
often end up exhausting the daily quota of high speed 4G data and have to wait
for the next day refill.
To help the users,
Reliance Jio has provided a very useful and friendly option in the MyJio
application to alert the users when the data is consumed up to a pre-set level
of users choice. The users can set a data alert limit for each Jio number and
get alerted automatically in the form of a message when data consumption
reaches the set level.
Earlier, The range
for setting data consumption was from 1% to 90%, but in recent updates, the
limit range has been changed to 1% to 80%. It means, you can set any number
between 1 percent to 80 percent. Say for example, you set a data limit of 70%,
once your data consumption reaches 70% of your daily quota, you will receive a
message alerting you about the remaining data balance.
This can be set for
any type of recharge, whether its a daily cap data refill or continuous usage
without any daily restrictions. In the latter case, the % alert limit will
apply for the total GBs involved.
Now, let us learn the
procedure for setting a data usage alert in MyJio application.
