This
IPL-2018 season, Jio has eyed on the specific and strategic options for its
promotion. The company has is working on showing strongest brand presence
during the IPL 2018 matches. To achieve this goal, Jio has acquired the
advertisement rights on the kits of eight franchises. A deal is said to have
been struck for sponsorship rights for the 8 franchises under various forms of
advertisement.
Earlier, the
company opted against huge investment on central sponsorship pool, however now
it is considering investments in smaller but strategic areas. Though the
company had received attractive ROI (Return On Investment) on the pool investments, this year it is
experimenting with much safer and better sponsorship options.
The Reliance
Industries-owned telecom brand is aiming to cover 99% of the Indian population
by October-November with its LTE network. With access to 86-87%, population
Reliance even now has the best reach among the competition.
The IPL 2018
will be broadcast across India on ten Star Sport Network channels in six
languages. This amplifies the opportunity for Jio to further strengthen brands’
reach across the country. Recently, Jio stood at 17 place in the Global list of
top 50 innovative companies standing in the line of elite and giants like
apple, Netflix, Amazon etc. At national level, the company topped the list of
Indian most innovative companies. Jio is the first company to have achieved
this feat in the shortest time of just 15 months. This award has helped the
company to gain attention at global levels.
