RIL announces first "Integrated Digital Area" in Maharashtra at 60k crore



Speaking at the Magnetic Maharashtra Investor Summit at Mumbai, Business tycoon Mukesh Ambani said that Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) and its global partners are going to set up India's first "Integrated Digital Area (IDA)" in Maharashtra with an investment of Rs 60,000 crore. "Reliance along with other global companies will invest over Rs 60,000 crore in the next 10 years in Maharashtra, which will be the first integrated digital industrial area in the country," Ambani said on the first day of opening the summit. There is no doubt that his Jio digital revolution is going to play a vital part in easing the project establishment as Jio has already got huge subscriber base and its innovative technologies are immensely popular and useful.

The summit was earlier inaugurated by prime minister Shri Narendra Modi and various business tycoons were present as part of this summit. Mukesh also revealed that RIL has received overwhelming interest from various global technology companies to invest in this project. "Within a few weeks, more than 20 global companies have already agreed to invest with us. These companies include Cisco, Siemens, HP, Dell, Nokia and Nvidia among others," Ambani said.

One more famous industrialist Shri Ratan Tata said, “The impetus given by the prime minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Devendra Fadnavis to infrastructure development is a remarkable.” From air connectivity to road connectivity to communications and excellence growth centers shows rosy picture of Maharashtra . It also shows the vision of the leaders.

The Jan Widerstrom from SAAB said, “ India is on the right track. Magnetic appeal of India and Maharashtra and its leadership makes it a right place for investment and development.” He greatly appreciated the concept of "Make In India". The Bharat Forge president Baba Kalyani said, “ Maharashtra’s soil has something about the industries which is inbuilt and inherent. The prime minister Narendra Modi’s Make In India policy was important and took the country on the global map. There is huge scope to work in defense manufacturing."
