How to activate or redeem Jio Vouchers?

One of the exceptional features of Reliance Jio is an aspect to deal the transactions in the form of vouchers. Vouchers have become popular among Jio users owing to its flexibility of use and ability to gift by transferring to friends. These vouchers are no different to gift cards that you buy and gift to your loved ones and friends.

In fact Jio company too occasionally gifts vouchers to its users in the form of discounts and add-on data. These type of vouchers are usually non-transferable to others. You will find a note in red whenever a voucher is non-transferable. But you can buy vouchers and gift them.

Irrespective of if a voucher is transferable or non-transferable, you can activate the voucher with a simple procedure. You can activate a voucher any time. In this post, we intend to explain about how to activate the available vouchers.

Step-1:

Open the MyJio application and login with credentials relevant to the Jio number for which voucher history is to be checked.

Step-2:

From the main page, click on the 'Additional Options' tab at the top left corner indicated in the form of three horizontal small lines as shown below

Step-3:

Now click on the first option labelled as "My Vouchers".

Step-4:

A new window will open with a list of vouchers available under your Jio number. In order to activate a voucher, just click on the 'Redeem' button against respective voucher and confirm the redemption. For example, i have a free voucher of 5GB data add on obtained from KBC Play Along matches. Once i redeem this voucher, i must be able to get the 5GB added into my account.

Step-5:

Now, you should be able to see a message confirming the redemption details of your Jio voucher. The message usually contains info as "Jio number ********* has been successfully recharged. Your transaction ID is ***********.

Follow the same procedure for every voucher redemption. Note that the 5GB data add on is shown in the screen upon successful redemption.

How to check your own Jio number?

Occasionally, we get requests from users to write about the different ways available to know ones own Jio number. There are several ways to know your own Jio number. The simplest way is to give a call from your phone with Jio SIM to any other phone, however here we would like to discuss about all the options available. We leave it to the users choice to select suitable option based on their needs.

Method-1: "By Dialling other number"

Insert the Jio SIM into a 4G enabled phone. After activation, just dial any other known mobile number and note down the number for future reference.

Method-2: "Through Myjio app"

Second method requires installation of Myjio Application in your mobile. Turn on the mobile data and Login to MyJio using your SIM. Once you login successfully, you can find your Jio number in the 'My Account' section as shown below.

Method-3: "Through SMS service"

Type "Myplan" and send an sms from your jio number  to 199. You’ll receive an sms with your account detail including your mobile number. The SMS will read something like this "Dear Customer, Your Prepaid number 917********6 is subscribed to MRP *** - Jio Prime Membership @Rs 99--1. You are now enrolled for Jio Prime Membership which entitles you to additional data benefits valid from 01/Apr/2017 to 31/Mar/2018. Thank You, Team Jio.

Method-4: "Through Official Jio Website"

Go to http://www.jio.com and sign in with your email ID and Password (OTP login) and there you can see your mobile number with account details.

Method-5: "Through SMS service with IMEI number"

Send an sms “Jio <IMEI>” number of your phone in which jio sim in inserted and sent it to 199. You will receive an sms showing your mobile number. The format of sms will be like “Jio number used in your JioFi device with IMEI xxxxxxxxxxx is xxxxxxxxxxxx”.

Method-6: "Through Customer Care"

This method takes time and authentication. Call 198 customer care number of Jio. They will authenticate you and will tell your mobile number.

JioTV Wins digital rights for Nidahas Cricket Trophy

The Jio TV, one of the famous live television applications of Reliance Jio has been successful in acquiring the exclusive India digital rights for the T20 Tri-Nation cricket series Nidahas Trophy. This news was officially shared by the Reliance Jio company through a press release (Click here to read the press release) on 5th March 2018.

Nidahas Trophy is a tri-nation cricket tournament which is scheduled to be played at Colombo from 6th to 18th of March 2018 between the three countries Srilanka, India and Bangladesh.

The statement said "After bringing two back-to-back major global sporting events - Winter Olympics 2018 and EFL Cup (Carabao Cup Final) - for Indian digital consumers in recent weeks, JioTV...has acquired the exclusive India digital rights for the upcoming T20 cricket series Nidahas Trophy,".

JioTV is working with Sri Lankan Cricket to offer in-depth coverage of the triangular series, enabling millions in India to access live and catch-up content on their mobile devices. The event coverage on JioTV will include live and repeat telecast and highlight packages. The company, last month, had also bagged digital rights to broadcast the Winter Olympic Games PyeongChang 2018 across India.

"We are excited to partner with JioTV to bring in the action packed T20 series to Indian cricket fans, and look forward to connecting with the cricket consumers in the sub-continent," Jerome Jayaratne, Chief Operating Officer, Sri Lanka Cricket said in the statement.

This news followed a recent global achievement of Jio TV for obtaining an important award "Best Mobile Content App" from the Global Mobile Congress. This award is also called as the GloMo award 2018. Click Here to read full story about this news.
