Introduction:
Unfortunately, for every Jiofi device, the default username and password to first login into the web configuration utility are same. By default, both the username and passwords will be "administrator".
Why it is important to change default settings:
But for security reasons, it is always recommended that the username and passwords must be changed upon first login. Else, any user connected to your jiofi device will have full access to the web configuration utility of your network.
Special Note: Even if you suspect that some unwanted users are manipulating your jiofi network settings, don't worry. All the changed settings can be brought back factory defaults by resetting the jiofi device.

Procedure to Change Jiofi Network Login Password
Follow the below listed step by step procedure to successfully changing the default jiofi network login settings to secret and unique passwords.
Step-1:
Start your Jiofi device and connect to a PC or a mobile by using the wifi SSID and password. (Note: These can be seen from the outer package box of new jiofi device and in case if you have lost the box, open the battery and you will find these details on the jiofi device).

Step-2:
After connecting your PC or mobile with the wifi network of your Jiofi device, now open a web browser ( we recommend Chrome for better user experience) and enter one of the following URLs http://jiofi.local.html or http://192.168.225.1.
Step-3:
A page will open with lot of numbers and data. Don't worry, just click on the login button located on the right top corner of the page.
Step-4:
A login window will open. Enter both the username and password as "administrator" and click on the login button.
Step-5:
After logging in, click on the User Management tab located in the right top corner of the page as shown in the below picture.
Step-6:
Now you will find options to enter a new username and password for the account login.
Once you successfully change these details, you should use the same details whenever you login the next time.
