How to port your mobile number to Jio Network?

The Department Of Telecom (DoT) has mandated all mobile networks to follow the National Mobile Number Portability (MNP) system to enable any user to switch to any telecom network without losing his/her mobile number.

If you are willing to change your mobile network to Reliance Jio without changing your mobile number, you can do so by following the below mentioned procedure.

Step-1:

To port in to the Jio network , send an SMS from your existing mobile number by typing "PORT <10-digit mobile number> " to 1900. This number (1900) is the TRAI's central number for nationwide mobile number portability.

For example, if your existing mobile number is 9********9, then type and send an SMS  " PORT 9********9 " to 1900.

Step-2:

You will receive an SMS that will contain the Unique Port Out Code and its expiry date.

Step-3:

Now Download "MyJio" app from Play Store or App Store and generate Jio coupon code.

Step-4:

Before this step, make sure that all your pending dues (if any, like in case of post-paid mobile connection) are cleared. Walk in to nearest Jio stores or Reliance Digital or Jio retailer with the UPC (Unique porting out code) and your Jio coupon code along with the handset.

Step-5:

Carry your Adhaar number for easy eKYC registration and obtain your new Jio SIM. Note that, as per government regulations, your number will be ported into Jio within 7 working days, and you will be intimated on the day it is being ported into Jio. Your services will not be interrupted in the intervening period.
