While purchasing a new Jio SIM, we are supposed to provide an alternate mobile number to receive communications and OTPs. It can happen sometimes that you provided one of your friend's number or any other number which you might have lost.

In case if you ever wanted to change the alternate number for any reason, please follow the below step by step procedure.
STEP-1:
Open the Myjio app and login. You should get a home page as shown below. Once you get the Home page, click on the "More Options" button on the top left corner indicated in the form of three small horizontal lines.
STEP-2
Now select the last option "Settings" as shown below.
STEP-3
In the Settings page, Click the first option "Account Settings"
STEP-4
In the account settings page, click on the "Alternate Contact Work" or "Alternate Contact Home", which ever applicable in your case to be changed.
STEP-5
Now enter the new number to be changed in the second box and click on "Submit" button.
STEP-6
There you go, your new alternate contact number should be updated immediately.
You will get a confirmation message with a unique reference number.

I am trying to do it on laptop but i can't. They are asking to add an account by otp. How will i get otp on jiofi .Please help.
ReplyDeleteHi, First you install Myjio application. Connect your mobile to the network of your Jiofi. ( ensure your mobile data is off in mobile before connecting to wifi). Now, follow the above procedure first to change your alternate number. Once you change it, you will get OTP to the new number added. Try it and let us know. We will be glad to help.

ReplyDeleteHi, You can use any Jio SIM in the dongle. PLease get a new SIM if you dont have one.

ReplyDeleteHi dear, sorry to know that you have lost both Jio SIm an Alternate number. Solution is simple, you can get a replacement sim of same number by providing your adhar card. Make sure you update avaialable mobile number in Adhar records to get an OTP. Hope this helps, please do not hesitate to contact again if you need any help.
