Jio has once again topped the chart in terms of adding highest subscribers to its wireless networks among all the telecom industries for the month of October 2017. Reliance Jio has succeeded in adding a total of 7.34 million active wireless subscribers to extend its market to 12.39%.
Second in the list is Bharti Airtel with a net addition of 3.14 million customers, inspite of this it has retained top spot in the total market share with a share of 24.21%. Vodafone and Idea follow with net additions of 0.8 million and 0.7 million subscribers respectively and have maintained a market share of 17.68% and 16.20% respectively.
One of the public sector undertaking (PSU) service providers BSNL has added only 0.6 million subscribers, another PSU MTNL has lost 11520 subscribers. Both of these PSU have a combined market share of only 9.34% against private telcos market share of 90.66%.
